Imagine living in a city where the streets are not filled by bulky delivery trucks polluting the air, but small and smart vehicles in a row. We have developed Ducktrain as the modern solution for urban logistics with zero emissions to make your business even more efficient and green. A Ducktrain is the combination of an any lead object (lead vehicle or person) and up to five automated light electric vehicles – the so called "Ducks" – following the lead object. Each Duck is equipped with sensors that detect the leading object and virtually couple it to the Duck. This creates a platoon of light vehicles with no physical connection between the individual vehicles. In a further development step (starting around 2025), the Ducks will be able to drive parts of the route (esp. the journey from the last hub to the district) fully automated. This function will be retrofitted via software update. Our vehicles are already prepared for this update.
